VIOLET calls her secretary, HOI-KEI, telling her to tell STEVE to come to see her. He does not know until he runs into ALEX that VIOLET wants to see both of them. According to her, their promotion proposals have been shelved. ALEX, STEVE and A4 plan to complain to SAM. ELAINE, the departmental secretary, has managed to find out about which hospital SAM’s wife, CHAN OI-LIN, IRENE, is staying.
