PIK reactivates the vital point wielding her martial artistry and stops FUNG from killing LUI. She finally reveals the truth about being the mother to LUI. TING chances on WONG YEE on her way to see LUI. Overwhelmed by the trauma of the court’s confiscation and her rape by YING, she pursues WONG YEE to the riverbank and tries to kill her. The news of her death reaches the emperor. PO insists that the woman, jilted by her lover, kills herself for love, but CHING suggests announcing her death from a deathly illness in order to preserve the court’s reputation. FUNG hurries to the WONG’s residence to bring PIK the news of WONG YEE’s death. PIK loses her initial calmness and breaks down to cry. He urges her to find LUI at once. Escaping the hot pursuit by the Eastern Depot, WAI and LUI are aided in time by FUNG. FUNG immobilizes LUI by dislocating his knee joints and locks him up in a desolate hut.
